Behind the work
Why have I written these novels?
In critical ways, we humans fail to embrace our reality. Much of our destructive behavior is the result of a heritage received from the deep past, long before modern humans arrived on the scene. We fail to accept the responsibility implicit in that fact.
We are a species that has evolved only so far and have a road yet to travel, perhaps a long one, if we are ever to become a mature animal, able to live much more peacefully with one another and within an ecosystem which is no longer being damaged by our behavior. Self-knowledge and patience are required.
The reason I write? To make a small contribution to that hopeful future.
